The bear features a red, white and blue theme in honor of the Unites States of America and Otto Steiff?s trip to the USA for the Steiff company. He has a striped ribbon tied in a bow around his neck and both his hind paws are embroidered.  One paw has the American flag while the other paw is signed by Otto Steiff with the dates 1912 t0 1992. The bear is made of the traditional high quality mohair that Steiff is known for, as well as being stuffed with excelsior wood shaving. All four limbs are jointed so the bear can sit or stand.
