Baerle 43 PAB is a 43 cm tall when seated, 60 cm when standing and crafted by hand in the traditional, artistic manner
Just as the original, Baerle 43 PAB has wooden shoe-button eyes;shaved muzzle, his mouth, nose and the four claws on each of his paws are carefully stitched by hand
He proudly wears a true elephant button made of stainless steel, which makes him a very special piece. The replica's ear tag couldn't be stitched to his left ear, as at that time Steiff products didn't have ear tags yet. This is why it is sewn into the side seam under his left arm. It is actually the first time in the company history that this has been done!
